Kyan isn’t a newcomer, but his new track about ghetto life (or prison life if you want to take it a little deeper) will get him some new attention.
Over a soulful production full of real instrumentation, the young singer’s old-school vocals emit the pain of growing up in a place with little hope. His tone has that harsh sound that you don’t get from many male singers of the newer generation. The lyrics are deep and convey a lot of things in themselves (we also thought this track might be about the trapping of celebrity). The end result is something that makes you feel its seriousness without weighing you down with it.
