Who would have thought that the beat from Busta Rhymes’ Put Your Hands Where My Eyes Can See could be used in a ballad?

Olivia has left Love & Hip-Hop behind and is moving on with her music career.  Her first release in over a year, Unknown speaks on the moment when you realize that the person you love might not be who you thought they were.  The production by Big Sound Musick is top notch, balancing the hip-hop sound of the beat with the strings and piano of the melody to make something that sounds like it could be featured in a soap opera.  Olivia’s vocals are a little subdued in the face of the more boisterous beatwork, but they do sound strong and her adlibs near the end add that emotionality that the track needs.

This is the first single from her upcoming album, The Right One For You, which is expected to be released sometime in 2015.
