While we seriously doubt that anything would make Jay Sean be unfaithful to Thalia, his new mixtape will have some of us wishing he would. His production is diverse but adheres strongly to the R&B range. His lyrics are strong and have few deviations from the theme of the song they’re in. His vocals are strong and dynamic; we get his strong tenor and a beautiful falsetto. This might be even better than the original iteration of the mixtape that was released back in 2011.
The artist described why he decided to make this new freelease and what it meant to him. “The Mistress II is a return to my musical roots. I needed to make music that meant something; music that had substance again…”
Update: There is a version of The Mistress II available at iTunes and Amazon. Those are NOT the same version that you see here. This a complete project with 10 different tracks. The pay EP has three tracks with accompanying remixes.
