How do you deny a song that starts off with the line You and I used to mean more than the first letters of unity?
Just a few weeks after dropping his EP Drift for public consumption, Elijah Blake frees a new single with deep lyrics and danceable, mid-tempo beats. Black Whiskey is about a relationship that should probably end but the two people involved seem to be addicted to one another. It is unknown whether or not this track is meant to be included on his album, due out sometime in early 2015, or just meant the be a teaser. One thing is for certain though, this is an artist that is comfortable with himself and his style in a way that makes you enjoy his music.
