Goapele has always had a gift for spelling out real emotion with beautiful lyrics and soulful vocals, that hasn’t changed as she released the title track for her newly released LP, Strong As Glass.  Over a production that starts out with a stirring piano and turns into a rock power ballad, she reminds the man in her life that he can’t keep hurting her and expect her to in one piece (emotionally).  Goapele belts this song out in a way that seems different than many of her previous songs, but she doesn’t lose that vocal control and soulfulness that has been signature since the start.
