Lil Kim

The Queen B is back and it’s NSFW, so you’ve been warned.

While this mixtape is not the best considering how long she’s been working on it, it is interesting to hear the voice of Lil Kim again.  The good thing about this project is that it’s pretty cohesive and you can still hear that spark the made the rapper a powerhouse. Tracks like Whenever You See Me show her strength and versatility.  The downside is that you can tell she’s trying to find her footing in a new hip-hop world.  Hearing her imitate a cross between Young Thug and  Migos flow on Trendsetter is almost painful.

There is a lot of hit or miss on this one, but if you’re willing to listen, you will find some gems.
