With less than a month to go until the release of a new Prince album, the pop/rock/R&B icon delivers another single that mixes his lyrical ability with a more modern, R&B production.  U Know, which has him lusting after his paramour, is a great song that shows you just how far ahead of his time Prince was, or maybe how strong his influence is.  Switching between rap-like verses, his signature falsetto, and working that amazing range for all it’s worth, what’s par for the course for Prince is what many rappers are trying to do now.  The solo album, Art Official Age, is shaping up wonderfully and I’m pretty sure I’m not the only one who will be copping it on it’s release date.
