Reminding us a little bit of Andre 3000, alternative R&B artist Raury got a major cosign from Kanye West when he flew the singer out to meet with him.  Luckily for both him and Ye, he lived up to the hype.  With a sound that is vastly different than what’s heard on urban radio, the production is dynamic.  Even songs that seem  like they are going in a more traditional R&B direction take off in unexpected ways before circling back around.  His vocal range isn’t huge but he uses his voice to its full effect, which is all that any singer can be expected to do and (the good ones) use to full effect.  With subject that range from his career, to love, to divinity, this is an LP that will keep your ears buzzing for months–if not years–to come.
