Dal★Shabet is down to four members and mixing things up a little bit for their latest single. Adding a little pop/trap sound to their verses, the ladies still manage to get in their signature cute/sexy for the bridges and chorus as the describe the drudgery of moving through the week and the joy they feel once they hit the weekend.
While nowhere near a turnup track, this song has a nice fun vibe that lends itself to a feeling of relief. The minimalist trap-like sections correspond to the members singing about the monotony of the workweek with the more poppy sections coming in as the describe the week progressing and going full pop for the weekend (chorus). The lyrics aren’t deep, but they do describe a relatable situation. The vocals are good, but it is a little hard to distinguish the members from one another when they solo. The harmonies are the selling point of this track, though, so distinction may not have been the purpose this time around.
It’s an okay track, but not as distinctive as songs like Joker and B.B.B.
We keep moving thanks to pop!gasa…
Lyrics:
I need to busily move starting from the morning
Or else people will keep pushing me
I try and try but I can’t see the end
But each day is the same anyway
Each day passes crazily
I just need to get through a few more days
It’s over today
It’s starting now
Don’t call me
Until the day after tomorrow
Friday, Saturday, Sunday
Without anyone knowing, move
(Move your body like,
Move your body like)
I won’t remember anyway when I wake up
Monday Monday
Monday (Baby dance)
Friday, Saturday, Sunday
Without anyone knowing, move
I crazily drink and run
But when I sleep and wake up
Monday Monday Monday
No one knows
No one, no one, no one knows
From now on, if the phone rings, no
People will never know what I’m doing
You can call but I won’t pick up
You can text but I won’t read it
Call me call me
call me call me on Monday
Friday, Saturday, Sunday
Without anyone knowing, move
(Move your body like,
Move your body like)
I won’t remember anyway when I wake up
Monday Monday
Monday (Baby dance)
Friday, Saturday, Sunday
Without anyone knowing, move
I crazily drink and run
But when I sleep and wake up
Monday Monday Monday
If you’re tired, go home
I’m gonna play by myself
Starting from Monday, it’ll all be the same
So I’ll be too sad at this rate
Without anyone knowing, different from usual
I can’t be bothered today
I don’t like people who don’t understand me
Friday, Saturday, Sunday
Without anyone knowing, move
(Move your body like,
Move your body like)
I won’t remember anyway when I wake up
Monday Monday
Monday (Baby dance)
Friday, Saturday, Sunday
Without anyone knowing, move
I crazily drink and run
But when I sleep and wake up
Monday Monday Monday
No one knows
No one, no one, no one knows
