Eighteen-year-old Sam Kim went a little under the radar with his first track, Mama Don’t Worry, but his latest is hitting our ears like auditory ambrosia.

Let’s Leave It is just the right when it comes to how it balances the energy of the vocals and the smoothness of the acoustic track.  Kim’s vocals are rich and strong, but never come off as over-the-top  or trying too hard against the melody.  His guitar playing is a weird combination of amped and jazzy, being the driving force behind the track while still giving a mellow feel to the overall sound.  Even Crush’s rap verse doesn’t feel out of place on this one as it is a nice combination of singing and rapping that keeps with the pace of the track.

To top it off, the song is also pretty lyrically solid as it tells the story of someone in a relationship that is just exasperated with the lack of communication between he and his lady.  It’s a odd pairing with the style of track, but it works as it doesn’t sound angry as much as it does fed up.

Things are complicated with pop!gasa…but we still love them…

Lyrics:
I told you to tell me first
All you woman, I can’t understand
I told you to tell me right away if you’re mad, I don’t understand
I told you once, I told you twice
I told you every day

What are you thinking about?
Will you stay with me
I have a lot of thoughts in my mind right now

You don’t know, you don’t know, I can’t believe it
You don’t know, you don’t know, but I still like you like a fool
You know this so you’re a fool too, it’s complicated

How many more times do I have to tell you that you’re pretty?
All you woman, I can’t understand
I’m getting tired because of you, why are you getting mad at me?
Don’t lie, I’m tired, this is enough
I told you once, I told you twice
I told you every day

What are you thinking about?
Will you stay with me
I have a lot of thoughts in my mind right now
Aren’t you even tired?

You don’t know, you don’t know, I can’t believe it
You don’t know, you don’t know, but I still like you like a fool
You know this so you’re a fool too, it’s complicated

It’s complicated, it’s all the same, you’re right
Sometimes, even when we talk all night, there’s no answer
Maybe it’s because things get taken for granted
It’s not only your fault, oh no
But it doesn’t really matter
I’ll be better, girl would you stay with me
I don’t want to go anywhere else and leave you here
Don’t worry ’bout us
Don’t worry ’bout nothing

If you are honest with me, how nice would that be
Or just don’t let it show that you’re mad
You’re more precious than anyone else
But you make me more upset than anyone else
You know why

You don’t know, you don’t know, I can’t believe it
You don’t know, you don’t know, but I still like you like a fool
You know this so you’re a fool too, it’s complicated

You don’t know, you don’t know, I can’t believe it
You don’t know, you don’t know, but I still like you like a fool
You know this so you’re a fool too, it’s complicated
